GALAVIZ, GERARDO
BIOGRAPHY
Gerardo Galaviz is a dedicated and passionate advocate for worker’s rights. He has more than seven years of experience assisting attorneys in a variety of employment litigation matters including: discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour claims. He joined Diefer Law Group as a Civil Litigation Paralegal in 2021.
Gerardo began his career at a respected plaintiff-side employment law firm in San Diego, CA where he worked almost exclusively on employment litigation matters. Growing up as a child of immigrant parents, Gerardo witnessed the many injustices committed by unscrupulous employers towards his parents and relatives because they did not know their rights. Gerardo understands the significance behind every task in procuring justice for our clients. He is known by his colleagues and friends for being a compassionate and tenacious advocate for the vulnerable.
Gerardo has a master’s in legal studies from the Sandra Day O’Conner College of Law at Arizona State University. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Political Science at National University, and his ABA approved paralegal certification at Southwestern College in Chula Vista, CA. Prior to working in the legal field, Gerardo worked for the Juvenile Court and Community Schools providing educational services to incarcerated and special-needs youth.
